Stirling Farm, together with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, put on a benefit for the LPO on October 28th, 2007. The live orchestra with symphony conductor, Maestro Klauspeter Seibel, played their instruments to the choreographed movements of dressage horses. There were two solo performances. Rider Ann Hornbeak on her horse, Gambler, to Joseph Strauss' Radetzky March and rider Vicky Busch on her gelding, Rampur, to a Sousa Liberty Bell March. Anne and Vicky created their own choreography for their solos. David Banister created the choreography for the four-horse piece which was performed to Johan Strauss' Kunstler-Quadrille and the Chit-Chat Polka. The quadrille participants included Francie Stirling on her horse, Levita, David Banister on Rascale, Leslie Morris on Meant to Be and Dr. Allison Barca on her horse, Roux. Dorothy Maxfield choreographed the finale dressage number, which was a rousing melody of ballet music from Faust, Joseph Strauss' Moulinet Polka and Strauss' Persian March. The finale featured seven horses and riders. The riders in the Symphonique were Francie Stirling, David Banister, Leslie Morris, Dr. Allison Barca, Anne Hornbeak, Vicky Busch, Debbie Gordon, and Dorothy Maxfield.
