Welcome to Stirling Farm

Stirling Farm is comprised of 52 acres nestled in the gentle rolling hills of Southeast Louisiana's prime pine and live oak woods. A 50 mile drive north of New Orleans brings you to Stirling Farm's front gate. Enter a peaceful, serene atmosphere.

Down the main drive, dozens of century-old live oaks provide a tranquil background.

The main barn consists of sixteen stalls, a grooming rack, individual lockers for clients, and two wash stalls with hot and cold water. The main tack room, with two bay windows that overlook the arena, is air conditioned and has individual bridle and saddle racks with a bathroom, kitchen and sitting area.

The many oak trees provide shady spots in the thirteen pastures for daily turnout. Four board fencing surrounds each pasture along with exceptional grazing and fresh water.

After schooling, the horse and rider can enjoy a hack on several relaxing trails through the quiet woods surrounding the farm.

The 220'x100' covered arena is enclosed by a six-foot kickboard on three sides. The short side has a 90'x7' optical mirror - a great bonus when schooling alone! Four 24' diameter ceiling fans aligned down the center of the arena roof drop the temperature 10-15 degrees during the humid Louisiana summers. The footing is a unique formulation of local angular non-silica sands blended with imported European Geo-Textiles.This E=MC Equestrian Arenas footing was custom blended for Stirling Farm by Brian P. McNeil, owner & operations manager of E=MC Equestrian. Underneath the footing are 1900 OT-40 concussion/ traction mats imported from Austria. This footing with the mats is very comfortable to ride & walk on and provides a very secure surface for your horse to work on. The footing is groomed regularly to keep the fibers and sands blended. Finishing out the arena is a professional sound system, including satellite radio. Three rows of lights provide excellent lighting for evening riding. An automatic irrigation system, combined with daily grooming, provides excellent footing. There is ample seating on two viewing balconies, one on the long side at B, the other on the short side at the end opposite the mirrors.

A 220'x100' outdoor arena where riders can enjoy the mild spring and fall weather overlooks a second ten stall barn. This barn also has an air conditioned tack room with individual saddle and bridle racks and a hot and cold water wash stall.
